Family History Activity
Canyon Gate Ward Family Tree
March Leaf One
Vision
“… and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven” (Matthew 16:19)
The Canyon Gate Ward Temple and Family History Plan is focused on the family and how we can further unite our families through the eternities. Listed below is our first activity to build our ward family tree. Each month we encourage members of the ward to participate in the monthly activity. After you complete your goal for the month place your family leaf on our ward family tree located on the bulletin in the north hallway of the church.
We believe that participating each month will draw you closer to your family as well as create a greater love and desire to know and help those who have come before you.
March- Leaf one – Log into FamilySearch.org
To log in to FamilySearch, you will need an account. If you already have an LDS Account, you’re set—LDS Account log-ins also work on FamilySearch. If you don’t have an LDS Account yet, you can go directly to FamilySearch and create your account there.
- Go to FamilySearch.org and click Free Account in the upper right corner of the page.
- Follow the three-step process to create your account. You’ll be asked the usual questions, but in step 3, you’ll need your membership number. You can find your membership record number (MRN) on your temple recommend or in your directory listing in the LDS Tools mobile app. You can also ask a ward clerk or Church leader.
- At the end of step 3, click Create an Account.
